By Jonas Löwgren. 2007.

An example from some explorative work in interactive visualization of semi-structured data.

I had a series of screenshots, but I felt that the behavior over time needed to be studied in a little more depth. I put the screenshots in a slideshow which would advance on a click, then put on a microphone and started a screencam program. I would talk about each state and point with the cursor, then click to advance the slideshow to the next state.

The resulting video communicates the temporal qualities of the design much better than the static screenshots would, and it didn't take many minutes to produce.
